Free Public Death Obituary Searches Online

Public Death Records have been around since the early 1900s. In the early days, they used to do little more than barely declaring the death behind a name. Today, public death records have increased a lot in value. They are still free of charge to access but it is certainly not cost-free for the government departments to administer this public service although there are differences among the various states in the way it is run.

Trying to Seek But Cannot Find

My part-time hobby is doing family searches.

There are many mysteries when one does genealogy searches. There are so many questions. Yet, to my amazement, there are so many answers.

While I search for African Americans family connections,I see so many missing links. Answers that will never be there. Slaves registered with only a first name given by the one(s) who took him or herfrom the continent of Africa. They (the stolen ones)were denied their family name, rippedfrom their heritage connection and stripped of their dignity. Once arriving to their new destination they are then separatedfrom family ties. They aretreated (not by personal choice) by someone who was empowered by sin andgiven authority tosteal the oppressed’sspirit for financial growth.

Discover Your Family Heritage

Genealogy, from the Greek genea (family) and logos (study) is what some may call a very specialized hobby. It involves the extensive search for names, places, occupations and dates that had anything to do with a particular bloodline; for the hobbyist, his own, for the professional genealogist, others. The research results in an extensive chart or document of ancestry, popularly called a family tree.

Genealogy refers to the collection of names that are related to the family by either blood or marriage (including their dates and places of birth, death and weddings); it is, in essence a basic framework of blood or lego-filial relationships within the clan. Family history includes events in which the ancestors partook, relating them to history, their economic background, how they lived, etc.

Beginning ancestor research online

Searching for our ancestry on the web is becoming one of the most popular pastimes of the new century. Not so long back, however, the family tree researcher, intent on tracing their ancestors, would be faced with having to make several trips to various libraries, County record offices and some family history centres. Now, even though for a serious genealogist this will still be an important part of their search for ancestors, the massive growth in on line genealogical websites with a searchable database has made it possible to do much of the initial research for our ancestors via our computer’s web browser. From the beginner, trying to find an elusive forbearer, to the professional doing a family genealogy research project for a client, resources such as those provided at www ancestry.com or co.uk and a host of other providers have made life so much easier for us all. The sheer amount of information already available to us is being added too all the time with new releases of old records and indexes. There are websites providing us with access to census collections, parish records (church records of Christenings, Burials and Marriages), monumental transcripts, BMD sites providing data on births, marriages and deaths, family history societies, old maps, genealogical resources such as parish registers, old town or trade directories and so on.

Meaning-of-Names Code from Adam to Jesus

The meaning of a name was considered very important in bible days. Sometimes the bible itself informs the reader what a name means. Such renowned persons as Adam, Cain, Seth, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his 12 sons, along with Jesus, all have the meaning of their name explicitly given in the bible. Their names tell the story of why or how they were born.

Some students of the bible have wondered whether these names (with their meanings) might not be strung together in succession to tell some larger story. For if the meaning of these names do indeed tell a story then this would imply that God Himself arranged these names providentially throughout the ages.

Already there have been attempts to string together the first 10 names in the bible from Adam to Noah. This is what the first 10 names of the bible read when the meaning of each name is rendered one after the other in succession in the same order that the bible gives them:

“A man is appointed, a man of sorrow. The Glory of God shall come down teaching that His death shall bring the grieving rest.”

However, the prophecy completely emerges once all 60 names from Adam to Jesus are included and sequentially read. Not only is the complete prophecy a remarkable cursory history of man from the perspective of the bible, but it is also a revelation about Jesus Christ as One revealed in the lives of His ancestors.

In the following reading, several of the names that are omitted in Matthew’s genealogy are here included. And if an individual had more than one name then their alternative names were also included. In addition, the genealogy of Cain’s line (who eventually perished in the flood of Noah) is included.

—An Acrostic in the Same Genealogy—

Moreover, recently another type of bible code was discovered within the first 20 names of this same genealogy of Christ. The first letter of each consecutive name from Adam to Abraham in the original Hebrew forms an acrostic prophecy.

It is apparent that this Acrostic Bible Code is meant to be affixed to the Meaning-of-Names Code because both codes come from the same source, contain similar prophecies, with both written in the first person as from God.

It is beyond the scope of this article to interpret the Names-Code here. However, words in brackets have been added as an aid to help identify the historic time period in which a particular name (with its meaning) refers to as the genealogical code scrolls down from Adam to Christ.

— The Meaning-of-Names Code from Adam to Christ —

(The first two sentences are the acrostic.)

“I will forgive my enemies, having compassion, forgiving those who are but stubble and dust a second time.

I will choose a circumcised people (i.e., Jews), even many peoples for myself (i.e., Gentiles).”

“The God-Man will be brought forth (into this sin-cursed world) who will instruct unruly men (like Cain). This man of God will be smitten to death, but his death will be in the will of God. People will give up hope as grief overwhelms them.

But, the God-Man is appointed to save, this man of sorrow. The Glory of God shall come down from heaven teaching men that by means of His death He shall comfort those who mourn.

(After the flood…) The fame of the stronghold of Babylon, and sorrow, extend their borders like a plant beyond the place of division (at the Tower of Babel). — But I will make Babylon fade away!

A friend also branches out (like Abraham), snorting with fury! The Glorious Father, the Father of many people, laughs as He outwits (his enemy).

A mighty One (like Moses) struggles in prayer. A righteous Prince sees God. Praise bursts forth and makes an opening into a place surrounded by a high wall, there the people of the Prince (are safe) from (Balaam) the false prophet. They are clothed with strength.

For there exists a Servant, one beloved and peaceable. He will extend the territory of the people (like King David and Solomon).

My Father is the Lord, the healer of him whom the Lord judged and then raised up. The Lord has taken hold of me and the Lord is strong. Mighty is the Lord! My strength and help are in the Lord. The Lord is perfect. I took hold of the strength of the Lord and it made me forget my misery. (I am) the Master Builder whom the Lord God healed, whom the Lord raised up, whom the Lord appointed, and whom the Lord did uphold and will uphold.

I have asked God about the ransomed of the Lord — those exiled in Babylon. My Father is awesome! God will raise up a helper, the Just One will the Lord raise up. God is my praise! God is the One who helps. May the Gift of Jacob increase in greatness, for God is with us! — The Messiah and Savior of those called out (of Babylon).”

Find Your Relatives in Lithuania

Did your grandfather come from Lithuania? Your grandmother? Would you like to see their marriage license or their birth certificates? Here are the 8 steps that will help you find your family roots in Lithuania.

1) Join a discussion group on the Web.

A good place to start is by spending time on one of the Lithuania genealogy groups on the Internet. The Internet offers you two excellent discussion groups.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LithuanianGenealogy/

http://www.network54.com/Forum/5317/

There are many helpful people on these sites, and there are some that are true experts in Lithuania genealogy. There are few basic questions about family history that they cannot answer.

2) Browse the excellent Lithuanian genealogy website from the Lithuanian Global Genealogical Society.

http://www.lithuaniangenealogy.org/

3) Be clear about the types of records available in Lithuania.

Most records of births, marriages, and deaths originated in local churches. Copies of those records have been moved to a central location, the Lithuanian Historical Archives in Vilnius. Some churches still have their own records, but many do not. Getting material from churches can be very hit or miss. Some churches can produce more than you would have thought possible and others will have nothing, or will never respond.

4) Connect three critical facts: Who? Where? and When?

All successful genealogical records searches in Lithuania begin with three key facts. If one fact is missing, the search is very unlikely to be productive. You will need: (1) a name of a person, with a good (but not necessarily perfect) spelling in Lithuanian; (2) a village, town, parishes or city in Lithuania where the person was born, married or died; and (3) a date for the birth, marriage or death; the date need not be 100% accurate, but it must be reasonably close to the actual event.

5) Use online tools to find the correct spelling of the town or village.

One of the best online sources for village and town names is

http://www.jewishgen.org/Communities/LocTown.asp

A good map source is

http://www.maps.lt/en/

6) Consider using the Lithuanian Historical Archives.

Usually you can get good results through the National Archives, either through the Archives staff or through a private researcher. Unfortunately, there is no massive index at the Archives; the record books cover only relatively small local areas. And the searches are done in books, not on computers or microfilm. For a generation-wide search, for example, it will typically be done book-by-book, which can take a while.

The Archives is often very backed up. A three-year delay in doing a generational search is not uncommon. The results are good, however.

Here is the address for the Archives. You can write in English.

Historical State Archives of Lithuania Gerosios Vilties 10 2015 Vilnius Lithuania

Telephone: 370 (2) 65 22 54

7) For quick results, hire a private researcher.

The National Archives allows private researchers to work there, so the private researchers have access to the same materials as the Archives staff. Plus they have their own additional sources. Because private researchers can control the volume of their caseload, they typically produce their results in a just one to three months depending on the scope of the search.

There are three or four good private researchers in Lithuania. You will want to look for two important things in your private researcher: a good ability to communicate in English and promptness in replying to emails and letters.

A good source for more information about private researchers are the two discussion groups mentioned in item (1) above.

One researcher who has an excellent reputation is Vilius Vaseikis. His website is at www.LithuaniaVisits.com.

Mr. Vaseikis can be reached at vilius@LithuaniaVisits.com. His clients report that he is very honest and extremely diligent.

8) Consider the cost of a search in Lithuania.

How much will it cost to do a genealogical search in Lithuania? The cost of course varies depending on the scope of the search and the degree of difficulty of the search. If you have all of the necessary information – – name, date and place – – a single relevant document such as a birth certificate can be located, translated and reproduced for less than $100.

If you want a generational search – – for example, all of your grandfather’s brothers and sisters and their spouses and children, that type of search will likely run between $500 and $800.

You can help control the cost of your search by doing a good deal of background work. This includes getting information from other living relatives and searching in your national immigration and census records.

But the most important point is that the path to a good, rewarding search for your Lithuanian relatives is now very well defined. Most people who start into these family history searches find valuable information on that most fundamental of questions, “Where did I come from?”

Good luck with your search!

Jonas Markas

Use Your Irish Last Name to Discover More About Your Origins

Your Irish last name can tell you far more than only that your ancestors were from Ireland. It can actually be the key you need to pinpoint the exact area in Ireland where your ancestors lived. Because many Irish families stayed in the same general location for generations, its not unusual for a certain surname to only be seen within a radius of a few square miles for hundreds of years. Even when surnames spread out somewhat in Irish genealogical research, they still often stay within one particular county. If you know the area in Ireland to which your surname was common, you can often break through some long-standing genealogical brick walls.

Young Earth Versus Old Earth

Can we determine the age of the earth by counting the generations listed in Genesis? If the universe is actually older than 6,000 years, does that discredit the Bible? Does it discredit Christianity? Let’s check it out.
